Beaujolais Nouveau time

Beaujolais Nouveau is not my favourite wine, however it's a tradition for me to drink it every Descember. This year's Georges Duboeuf BN is a good one. I also liked this year's graphic design. You can find it in supermarkets like Tom Thumb, but hurry up because traditionally BN is only sold till the new year.

The Windy City

Last week-end we've been to Chigago. What a great city! Well, I must admit that after spending 1,5 months in Dallas, in Chicago I felt almost at home. Crowd on the street, fabulous shops on Michigan Avenue, deep dish pizza are enough to spend another week-end in this wonderful city.

I love my new tattoo!

I had my new tattoo done a couple of months ago. I'm in love with it and I show my love wearing my Melissa/Vivienne Westwood Anglomania Dragonfly shoes.

A cat in a bag?

Nope! This is a bag from Nine West FW 2011/2012 Collection. Seriously, does anyone like it?

Myths & facts about Texas

Today it's been one month since my arrival in Dallas. I can say I'm used to this city now. One month is enough to see if the Texan stereotypes are myth or fact. Here's my list:

-Everything is big in Texas.
TRUE! Streets, highways, cars, houses -and boobs!- are huge here. I saw thousands of trucks but just one Smart car.
-All the Americans are obese.
FALSE! At least here in Dallas, people are so fit! I'm so surprised to see everyone running in the street.
-In Texas you can't live without a car.
So TRUE! No public transportation... For the first month as we were living in Uptown, it was not such a problem but now we moved 8 km (I'm still not used to mile and feet) out of Downtown, I definitely need my own car.
-It's always warm in Texas.
FALSE. Even in November sometimes it's pretty cold outside. The thunderstorms, rain and heavy wind are as usuan as the sunny and warm weathers as long as I've seen it.
-Junk food is everywhere.
TRUE. Deep fried food, hamburgers, cupcakes, pancakes, bacon, donuts, cakes... Wow! Does really everybody eat all these? In the market it's so hard to find products that does not contain corn syrup or high fructose corn syrup.  Yesterday I bought a pint of Ben/Jerry's ice cream which I adore normally. I didn't need to check the ingredients while buying but when I took a closer look at home I found out that it contains corn syrup! I trusted and loved Ben&Jerry's, not anymore!

Our first Halloween

Me as Cleopatra

Last Friday, we attended our very first Halloween party in Dallas! That was great. Well, the electronic music and clubbing aren't my things but the concept was fun!
I was dressed as Cleopatra while my husband dressed as a jail bird. Well, I was the only Cleopatra during the evening but we saw a lot of jail birds! So, I was original and my husband was cliche OR Cleopatra costume is soo out that nobody wants to wear it and jailbird is a populer one. Which one of those is ture I don't know and I don't really care because I loved being Cleopatra. Except that even thought I was disguised as one of the sexiest women that history has known, I felt like a nun! Because it seems that in Dallas a Halloween costume has to be super ultra mega sexy! By that, I mean super mini skirts (the kind that shows clearly your ass) and super deep decolletes. At the party I saw a slutty verision of all historic characters or even fairy tale protagonists! Like a skirtless red riding hood or mini dressed Marie Antoinette.
Next year I'll be more prepared, be ready Dallas!
